Easter

Easter day was very busy, but wonderful and something we will remember for a long time. We opened Easter baskets and hunted for a few eggs in the morning, and then dressed and headed off for our day. We visited with Nana, Papa, Aunt Jen and Uncle Chris over Brunch and stayed to play and nap before heading to SJ to visit with Grandma, Grandpa and John. After dinner and a nice visit we headed home with two wonderful little girls who handled the activity of the day very well.... until Hannah had had enough and screamed from Evergreen to Pleasanton - non stop, including traffic in Fremont. When we arrived home, Molly was at the end of her tolerance of Hannah's crying, as were mommy and daddy, and we realized that Daddy's car was still at Jen and Chris' house from Friday night so... off to pick it up. Molly said "OK, I'll come home with Daddy." Which a few month's ago would not have been a problem, but since Hannah outgrew her infant seat, we had to consolidate car seats and Daddy's car has no seats. When we tried to explain this, Molly started screaming and crying. Mommy got to drive both girls home while Daddy got to come home in a quite car. It is all good, everybody is now in bed and happily sleeping. Mommy is heading off to bed now and Daddy is making a martini :-)

  1. My boys always want to ride in daddy's car which is no longer possible with the three of them. Plus, actually reinstalling seats in to the volvo is a royal pain in the butt. So, it's a very rare occasion that one child gets to ride in some car other than the van.

And for the record - there's not much that's worse than driving in traffic with a screaming child in the car. I feel for you.
